Information on the reservoir levels monitored by the Chilean Water Authority (DGA) are reported here.
In menu>analysis you can select the variable: Percentage, Measured or Anomaly. In menu>region you can select a region.
Measured: This map shows the reservoir level, measured in M m3/s. The reservoir levels are available on a monthly basis.
Percentage: This map shows the reservoir level as a percentage of the level normally expected in this month. The percentage indicates conditions of deficit with respect to the normal situation.
Standardized Anomaly: This map shows the reservoir level as standardized anomaly. The anomaly is the difference between the level measured and the reservoir level normally expected in this month. The anomaly indicates conditions of deficit or surplus of level compared to a normal situation (Table 1).
The reservoir levels are those reported by the Chilean Water Authority (DGA).
The percentage is calculated by dividing the monthly reservoir level by the average level (calculated using historical data of the specific reservoir and taking the month in consideration) and multiplying it with 100.
The anomaly is the monthly reservoir level measured minus the average level (calculated using historical data of the specific reservoir and taking the month in consideration) devided by the standard deviation.
